Chalet le mazot
Chalet le mazot
Le Mazot is a privately owned 200 years old traditional wooden chalet with 150m2 of living space on 3 floors. Recently refurbished, it can comfortably accommodate 8 people.
It is well positioned, situated in the tiny hamlet of ‘Les Albertans’ near to Montriond and about 1 km from Ardent in the heart of the Portes du Soleil. Just a few minutes walk away is the beautiful Lac de Montriond, and the chalet is surrounded by pine forest, and spectacular mountain views.
Ardent (1200m) is a tiny village which nestles in a valley near the bustling French town of Morzine and the imposing purpose-built ski village of Avoriaz. It is slightly off the beaten track and has a very French atmosphere. Originally a farming village, it is still a fairly well-kept secret and has only recently become popular with skiers. It now boasts a new 10-man Télécabine up to Les Lindarets where the queues are quick, due to the new 6-man chairlift installed to complement the 4-man express, giving quick access to Avoriaz, Chatel and onwards to Switzerland.
Also in Ardent you can find in the best restaurant in the Valley and a ski school for the youngest. Ardent has retained all of its charm, and offers a holiday experience that you would not find in a more commercial resort.
Les Portes du Soleil is reputed to be one of the largest linked ski areas in the world with over 640km of marked pistes over very diverse terrain, connecting 10 resorts in 2 countries. It allows for skiing of all standards and abilities.
With its proximity to Ardent, the chalet has everything you need for a perfect ski holiday. Confirmed skiers will be able to ski down from Ardent ski lifts to the chalet . Cross-country ski amateurs can find Morzine’s cross country tracks passing at the Chalet’s doorstep.
